XPLORA TECHNOLOGIES XPLRA Rapport

Xplora Q2 26: Surpassing the half million mark on subscriptions in Q2, with H1 EBITDA after capex up 50% to NOK 56m

Oslo, 19 August 2026 -- Xplora Technologies AS ("Xplora") today published its results for the second quarter and first half of 2026, demonstrating the resilience of its business strategy with continued subscription growth, higher recurring service revenue and improved gross margins, despite a general softer consumer sentiment.

Total revenue in Q2 26 was NOK 422m, down 9% year-on-year. Service revenue increased by 10% to NOK 90 million with ARR of NOK 359m. Gross profit ended at NOK 228m, reflecting a gross margin improvement to 54% from 50% in the second quarter last year. Operating costs were flat year-on-year, and the reported EBITDA of NOK 49m compares to NOK 51m in the second quarter last year.

"When consumer demand softens, we place greater emphasis on protecting margins and operational efficiency while continuing to expand our recurring revenue base. During the first half year, Xplora has remained focused on delivering on the three core value drivers we have highlighted in past reporting periods; gross profit, subscription growth and EBITDA after capex." says CEO Sten Kirkbak.

For the first half year, total revenue was flat at NOK 798m. Gross profit reached NOK 433m, up from NOK 422m in the first half 2025, with the gross margin improving to 54% from 53%. The number of subscriptions reached 502k, an increase of 108k or 27% compared to the end of the second quarter last year, and exceeding the halfway mark towards the goal of reaching one million subscriptions. Reported EBITDA increased to NOK 76m in H1 26 from NOK 69m last year. EBITDA after capex amounted to NOK 56m for the first half 2026, an increase of 50% from NOK 38m in the first half last year.

During the quarter the company executed key strategic initiatives to continue the progress towards the target of 1 million subscriptions. By signing an SPA for the acquisition of emporia Group, a market leader in senior mobile phones in the DACH region, Xplora strengthened the foundation for the roll-out of subscription services in the Senior segment, as well as defining natural markets for exploring new MVNOs. In addition, the company also launched the pilot for the retail point-of-sale (POS) system through a Nordic retail partner in late Q2 26. Although at an early stage, a POS system enables distribution of Xplora services through retail partners alongside device sales.

"With a growing portfolio across both the Children & Youth and Senior segments, an expanding Xplora Connect ecosystem, more than half a million subscriptions, and a broader international footprint, we are well positioned to deliver long-term profitable growth. Our focus now is on disciplined execution to realise the full potential of this platform," says Kirkbak.
