Norsk Titanium Receives Nadcap Accreditation for Additive Manufacturing, Strengthening Aerospace and Defense Readiness

Plattsburgh, New York / Oslo, Norway — 29 May 2026 — Norsk Titanium, a global leader in structural titanium additive manufacturing, today announced that its Plattsburgh, New York operations have earned accreditation from the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) for additive manufacturing. Nadcap is the industry's benchmark for special-process accreditation and allows OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to fast-track supplier audits, shortening the timeline to production for structural titanium parts built on Norsk Titanium's Rapid Plasma Deposition® (RPD®) technology.

Aerospace OEMs and defense prime contractors rely on Nadcap to pre-validate process control, repeatability, and traceability— the same audit they would otherwise have to perform to clear a new supplier for production. With Nadcap in hand, Norsk Titanium can compress that pre-production audit cycle and move customer programs from contract to delivery faster.

“Nadcap is the industry's stamp of approval on the discipline behind our industrial platform — and it cuts significant time out of our customers' supplier qualification process,” said Khazeem Adesokan, Vice President Operations and Quality of Norsk Titanium. “Aerospace and defense programs want secure, scalable sources of advanced manufacturing, and they want suppliers qualified yesterday. Nadcap accreditation takes weeks — sometimes months — out of that path.”

Norsk Titanium's proprietary RPD® process builds near-net-shape titanium parts with less waste, shorter lead times, and a more flexible supply chain than conventional forging and machining — advantages that matter most to aerospace and defense programs squeezed by titanium shortages and tight production schedules. The Nadcap accreditation covers additive manufacturing across both of Norsk Titanium's Plattsburgh, New York facilities, one of which is also ITAR-compliant for controlled defense work.
