Itera ASA appoints Bjarte Petersen as new CFO

Oslo, 29 April 2026 – Itera ASA is pleased to announce the appointment of Bjarte Petersen as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Petersen will assume the position on 1 August 2026, become a member of the executive management team, and report to CEO Arne Mjøs.

The appointment represents an important step in Itera’s continued development as an AI-driven, publicly listed technology company, with clear ambitions for profitable growth, stronger execution capabilities, and enhanced shareholder value.

Bjarte Petersen brings more than 20 years of experience from senior financial roles in international technology companies and capital market–oriented organizations. He most recently served as CFO & EVP Finance at Kongsberg Digital, where software, AI, data, and digital platforms were key value drivers. In this role, he was responsible for the finance and legal functions, strategic improvement programs, and close interaction with the board, owners, and the capital markets.

Petersen has previously held several key positions at Kongsberg Gruppen ASA, including Group VP Corporate Accounting, Reporting & Controlling, with responsibility for group reporting, group controlling, external quarterly reporting, and IFRS annual accounts. He also brings 12 years of experience from the consulting industry from his time as a Senior Manager at EY, where he worked with auditing, corporate governance, financial transformation, and value creation across multiple industries.
