Link Mobility – update on closing of SMSPortal acquisition

Oslo, Norway, 29 September 2025 – Reference is made to the announcement by Link Mobility on 24 June 2025 regarding its acquisition of SMSPortal, the leading provider of A2P (Application-to-Person) messaging services in South Africa.

The acquisition of SMSPortal is proceeding. All material third-party consents required to complete the transaction have been obtained, and the acquisition has received approval from the competition authority. The closing of the transaction is pending the expiration of a government grace period related to a telecommunications license which expires in November, and we expect to complete the acquisition in the end of that month. The delay associated with the grace period is a procedural formality and is not expected to affect the successful closing of the transaction.
