Sentia awarded phase 2 of NRK s new headquarters at Normannsløkka
HENT, a subsidiary of Sentia, has today signed a contract with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) for phase 2 of NRK's new headquarters at Normannsløkka, Ensjø, in Oslo. The contract value is approximately NOK 2.800 million, excluding VAT.
The contract is a design-and-build contract based on collaboration (samspill). HENT and NRK have worked together in phase 1 since April 2025 which is now completed. The project now moves into the construction phase, with completion planned for Desember 2029.
The building will have a floor area of 53500 square metres and will include studios, production facilities, offices and public areas. The site is located close to railway and metro lines, which places particular demands on the execution of the project. The project is a candidate to become a FutureBuilt pilot project, a programme for climate-friendly buildings with high architectural quality. This involves stricter requirements for reduced greenhouse gas emissions than for conventional buildings.
-Over the past 18 months, we have developed the project through open collaboration with NRK and our partners. This provides a solid foundation for delivering a technically demanding project. NRK is one of Norway's most important public institutions, and the new headquarters will be a building open to the public and a boost for Ensjø and eastern Oslo. It is a building we are proud to construct, says Jan Jahren, CEO of Sentia.
