NOD: Second quarter results 2026

06. August 2026 kl. 07:00

(Oslo, Norway – August 6, 2026) Nordic Semiconductor ASA reports revenue of USD 219 million for the second quarter 2026, an increase of 33% from the second quarter 2025. Gross margin improved to 53% from 51% in the same quarter last year. Reported EBITDA was USD 34 million and adjusted EBITDA USD 36 million, compared to USD 21 million on both a reported and adjusted basis in the second quarter last year.

This represents record revenue on a quarterly basis for Nordic Semiconductor. Short-range revenue increased 29% to USD 200 million, with continued solid demand from both key customers and the broad market in all the main market segments, whereas Long-range revenue almost doubled to USD 15 million with increased product sales from a broader portfolio and higher revenue contribution from nRF Cloud Services. Other revenue also nearly doubled to USD 4 million on increased sales of PMICs and development kits.

-We see increasingly positive effects of our product renewal program, with particularly strong growth in the broad market. With improved competitiveness, we see higher activity among both existing and new customers, and with many returning customers, says CEO Vegard Wollan in Nordic Semiconductor.

-With a broad and market-leading product portfolio we are now focused on empowering developers and help customers speed up design processes. The innovative AI-assisted development tools we launched in the second quarter will greatly improve the developer experience and enable both higher quality and faster time-to-market, adds Wollan. Revenue for the first half 2026 amounted to USD 411 million, up 29% compared to the first half 2025. Reported EBITDA for the first half was USD 55 million and adjusted EBITDA 60 million, compared to USD 36 million on both a reported and adjusted basis in the first half 2025. On a rolling 12 months basis, revenue increased by 21% year-on-year to USD 759 million.

Based on current customer orders and forecasts, Nordic expects revenue for the third quarter 2026 of USD 220-240 million. The gross margin is expected above 50% also in the third quarter. The revenue and margin developments continue to support Nordic's long-term financial ambitions presented in 2024; to deliver average annual revenue growth above 20% from 2024 through the end of the decade, maintain a gross margin above 50%, and move towards the target operating model profitability level of 25% EBITDA margin.
