Veidekke: Awarded major project for Thon Gruppen at Storo
Veidekke has been selected to construct a combined residential, office and commercial development for Thon Gruppen at Vitaminveien 6 in the Storo district of Oslo. The design and build contract is valued at approximately NOK 745 million, excluding VAT.
Jimmy Bengtsson, Group Chief Executive of Veidekke, and Kjetil Nilsen, Group CEO of Thon Gruppen, signed the contract on Friday, 23 October. For the client, Thon Eiendom, this is an important project that is now moving forward to the construction phase.

Vitaminveien 6 will be an important contribution to the ongoing transformation of Storo into a modern urban district. The development comprises an office building with its main façade facing Vitaminveien, a residential building to the west, and a commercial podium connecting the two.
The project has a total gross floor area of approximately 30,000 square metres. It includes a podium structure extending both above and below ground, accommodating parking facilities and retail premises. A seven-storey residential building and a seven-storey office building will be constructed on top of the podium. The residential section will comprise 98 rental apartments, while the office building will provide approximately 5,200 square metres of gross floor area (GFA).
A key objective of the project is to create attractive green spaces. The development will include a rooftop garden and landscaped park areas on top of the commercial podium, creating a shared courtyard for residents and office users. Additional green areas will also be established at ground level.
The office building will be certified to BREEAM Excellent and achieve Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Class A.
Demolition of the existing buildings is scheduled to begin in November, while construction of the new Vitaminveien 6 development is expected to commence in April 2027. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2029. The contract will be included in Veidekke's order backlog for the fourth quarter of 2026.
