27. March 2026 kl. 07:00

Yokohama, March 27, 2026: Proximar Seafood AS ("Proximar") today published its Annual Report for 2025, highlighting a year of continued commercial progress and operational improvements.

Throughout 2025, Proximar strengthened its role as Japan’s first producer of locally farmed Atlantic salmon and supplied 1,338 tonnes HOG of fresh Fuji Atlantic Salmon to customers. Strong demand together with solid price achievement for market sized fish above 3 kg HOG underline the advantages of proximity, freshness and consistent supply.

The company ended the year with a standing biomass of close to 2,000 tonnes, improved biological performance and stable operations. This provides a solid foundation for gradually increasing harvest weights and price achievement from the second quarter of 2026 onwards. For the full year, the company expects to harvest 3,500-4,000 tonnes HOG.

“Our progress throughout 2025 reflects the strength and dedication of our team. We now deliver fresh, locally farmed Atlantic salmon to the Japanese market every day, and the customer response remains highly encouraging. As the only producer of Atlantic salmon in Japan, we hold a unique position, and with full production capacity restored we remain committed to building a sustainable business that delivers quality and long‑term value,” said CEO Joachim Nielsen.
