30. October 2026 kl. 11:31

Omda AS (Euronext Growth Oslo: OMDA) has formally closed the acquisition of Saab's Public Safety Solutions business (PSS), welcoming 72 colleagues in the United Kingdom and Sweden. The transaction significantly expands Omda's presence in public sector markets in the UK and Ireland and brings additional capabilities to its emergency business.

"This is an important milestone for Omda. We are delighted to welcome 72 highly experienced colleagues to Omda. They bring deep public safety expertise, strong customer relationships and product knowledge that complements our existing Emergency business. We are excited about what we can build together," says Sverre Flatby, CEO of Omda.

Months of preparation support the next phase The transaction was announced on 9 June. In the nearly five months since then, Omda and Saab have worked closely to prepare the transfer of customers and employees. The preparation builds on a relationship developed over several years, including a previous transaction between the two companies in 2018.

With the acquisition now completed, the focus shifts to bringing the teams together, ensuring continuity for customers and developing the opportunities created by the broader Emergency business.

"The parties have used the time between signing and closing well. Both Omda's and Saab's teams have invested substantial time and effort in preparing for this moment. We can now build on that work, with a clear focus on customer continuity and bringing our teams together," Flatby says.

A broader offering and a larger opportunity PSS develops situational awareness software for organisations including police, fire and rescue services, airports and transport operators. Its technology helps professionals make informed decisions and coordinate responses in demanding situations. Based in Hull and Gothenburg, the business adds expertise that strengthens Omda's offering across the emergency services software ecosystem.

Together, the businesses bring complementary software and deep domain expertise across emergency response and situational awareness, creating more opportunities to support customers across critical parts of their operations.Omda's ambition is to develop these opportunities through close customer relationships, while preserving the product knowledge and local responsibility that underpins its profitable operating model.

The commercial opportunity has also developed during the preparation period. In its August update, Omda reported that PSS had secured additional customer agreements with an estimated total value of approximately SEK 60 million. Based on the expanded business, Omda now estimates an annual revenue base exceeding SEK 100 million, compared with around SEK 80 million communicated at signing. This provides a larger platform for profitable growth within Omda's Emergency business.

Predictable revenues support further growth Throughout 2026, Omda has emphasised the combination of profitable operations and acquisition opportunities. Its specialised software supports essential daily work in healthcare and emergency services, where established customer relationships and recurring revenues provide visibility. The PSS acquisition extends this model into a larger business with a broader market reach.

"We now have a stronger platform for growth, combining experienced teams, established customer relationships and complementary products. Our focus from here is on delivering for customers and building the next phase of our Emergency business together," Flatby concludes.

Omda will present its Q3 2026 results on 18 November 2026. The guidance for the remainder of 2026 and for 2027, to be presented at that time, will include the acquired business.
