Bohus ASA: Financial results for the second quarter of 2026
23.7.2026 06:30:09 CEST | Bohus ASA | Half year financial report
(Oslo, 23 July 2026) Bohus ASA (Bohus, OSE: BOHUS) today reported revenues of NOK 963.8 million* in the second quarter of 2026, up 15.7%, and an adjusted EBIT of NOK 143.5 million** (Q2 2025: 110.8), corresponding to an EBIT margin of 14.9% (13.3%). The company reiterates the outlook.
"The second quarter was a solid period for Bohus with a revenue growth of 15.7 per cent, increased market shares, and a positive margin development, highlighting our position as Norway's largest mid-market furniture chain in a highly resilient market segment. Notable for the quarter, we had a much-planned expansion for our outdoor summer collection, showcasing Bohus' potential and capability to develop and expand our core categories profitably within our cost infrastructure, and importantly without entering unknown and risky markets and industries," says John Thomasgaard, Chief Executive Officer of Bohus.
The like-for-like growth ended at 10.1 per cent***, partly driven by the strong development of the outdoor furniture segment and solid development in the core categories. The company opened two new stores in the second quarter of 2026 and four stores year-to-date. In the last twelve months, Bohus has opened six new stores, totaling 66 stores vs 60 at the same time last year. In addition, there are six franchise stores, unchanged, totaling 72 stores under the Bohus brand. The gross margin ended at 48.9% (Q2 2025: 47.5%), while the reported EBIT was NOK 123.9 million.
"The gross margin developed positively in the quarter, driven by operational and value chain improvements, price optimisation, favourable product mix and some currency effects. We target to further reduce our purchasing costs, increase our gross margins and accelerate our competitive strength in the years ahead," Thomasgaard continues.
Bohus successfully listed on Oslo Stock Exchange in the second quarter of 2026, bringing almost 3,000 new shareholders to the company, in addition to the parallel refinancing of bank debt to a revolving credit facility of NOK 600 million, providing Bohus an attractive financial profile with strong cash flow, conservative debt levels and high flexibility.
"Bohus is set to lead and consolidate the mid-market category with our scale, efficient logistics, attractive solutions and strong brand. We see a potential for margin expansion and to develop around 30 new stores, with six stores already in the pipeline, and reiterate our outlook with an attractive growth and dividend story," John Thomasgaard concludes.
The Board of Directors report and presentation for the second quarter of 2026 are enclosed.

*) Note that Bohus 9 July 2026 reported unaudited revenues in the second quarter of 2026 of NOK 963.8 million, up 15.7% from NOK 833.3 million in the same period last year.
**) Key financials are adjusted for comparable analysis. The first half of 2026 is the second reporting period that fully reflects the Group's current structure following the acquisition of former franchise stores completed in July and September 2025. As a result, the quarter should be assessed in the context of the Group's transition from a predominantly franchise-based model to a model where a substantially larger share of revenues and earnings is generated from owned stores.
***) LFL is defined as stores with full operation in 2025 and 2026, including online revenues.
