Expansion of primary school in Hamar
Betonmast, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has entered into a contract with Hamar Municipality for the expansion of Greveløkka School. The contract includes the extension of the existing school buildings, a new multi-purpose hall, and upgrades to the outdoor areas. The contract is a turnkey contract valued at NOK 210 million, excluding VAT.
Greveløkka School will accommodate 588 pupils, with three parallel classes at each year level. The expanded school will include pupils from Storhamar School when it is closed ahead of the 2028 academic year. Greveløkka School will be extended with a new multi-purpose hall, a large library, and modern learning environments in both classrooms and group rooms. The outdoor areas will function as a local community facility, accessible to residents at all hours, throughout the year.
“We are very pleased to expand Greveløkka School with future-oriented learning environments and high-quality outdoor areas. Betonmast has extensive experience in both refurbishment and construction of school buildings, and we look forward to commencing the construction process as soon as possible,” says Peter Sandrup, CEO of Betonmast.
The school will remain fully operational throughout the construction period, and site establishment and preparatory works will begin shortly after the end of the current school year. The construction will be carried out in several phases, with the entire project scheduled for completion in June 2028.
