33-2026 Skybound Entertainment Expands Invincible VS with First Major Content Update Launching Today; Wraps Participation in Evo 2026 and Details Several Additional Planned Events

Invincible VS, the hit tag fighting game and the first major game set in the award-winning Invincible universe, continues to build momentum. Co-financed and co-distributed by 5th Planet Games, Invincible VS is developed by Skybound Entertainment’s in-house game studio Quarter Up, which today launches ‘Season 1,’ the first content update of its scope and size to be released since Invincible VS’ initial April global release.
Skybound and Quarter Up debuted a Season 1 trailer this past weekend at Evo 2026, supporting continued awareness of Invincible VS within the fighting game community. The Season 1 content update today adds two new anticipated fighters, The Immortal and Universa, along with a new Endless Arcade mode and additional in-game cosmetics among other updates.
Hundreds of Invincible VS players competed at Evo 2026 with the ultimate champion taking home a Conquest Gauntlet trophy. In addition to the tournament, Evo attendees had the opportunity to preview new characters within Quarter Up’s Invincible VS booth and attend a dedicated Invincible VS panel led by the development team. Quarter Up also revealed that Angstrom Levy will be the featured Season 2 fighter releasing later this year, with plans to debut him at Evo France this October.
A recent post from Quarter Up shared many Invincible VS updates including the details of planned participation in future fighting game tournaments as part of Quarter Up’s Competitive Support Program. This includes VS Fighting XIV taking place July 24-26 in the UK and the Community Effort Orlando (CEO) 2026 in August.
These developments will benefit 5th Planet Games, which continues to distribute physical editions of Invincible VS across key European territories including the Nordic region under its partnership agreement with Nordisk Interactive A/S; across Eastern Europe in partnership with Glomerk SA; and across the Benelux region in association with BIGBEN Interactive Belgium S.A. Physical boxed editions from 5th Planet Games and Skybound include a Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition, both now available at select global retailers and comic book shops.
Invincible VS Overview Invincible VS features beloved characters, iconic locations, and devastating combos in a tournament-caliber 3v3 tag-team fighting experience. The game is based on Skybound Entertainment’s acclaimed comic series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, which has sold more than 5 million books since its debut in 2003. Skybound’s Invincible animated series, which launched in 2021 on Prime Video, has been the #1 series on the platform at multiple points across its first four seasons. Season 4 debuted in March to a third consecutive 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and became the most-watched season of the series to date. The critically acclaimed series streams in more than 240 countries and territories. Season 5 is currently in production for release next year, with an early renewal for Season 6 also recently confirmed.
