NOS Nova, 2025 results and annual report
Sandnes, Norway 22nd of April 2026: NOS Nova (EURONEXT:NOSN) has today published its results and annual report for 2025. (Formerly Horisont Energi AS, change of name December 18th, 2025.)
2025 was a transformational year for NOS Nova where unsuccessful investor dialogues resulted in workforce reductions, divestment of the Barents Blue ammonia project and a plan to wind down the company and to focus on realization of value.
At the end of August 2025, NOS Group became the company’s new majority shareholder. With a new majority shareholder in place, a new Board of Directors was elected, and a new CEO appointed.
The new Board of Directors decided that NOS Nova should continue its work to develop the Gismarvik CO2 terminal project through an “innovation arm” NOS CarbonGrid AS, where paid studies should be conducted for CO2 emitters, terminal customers and CO2 storage providers. NOS Nova should further have an “engineering arm” working on commercial projects. To strengthen the engineering arm, NOS Nova entered into an agreement to acquire NOS Technology AS in November 2025.
Through 2025, NOS Nova continued to develop its intellectual property portfolio that currently consists of 13 patent families comprising a total of 55 patent applications across multiple jurisdictions, of which approximately 73 % have been granted. The Company’s patented technologies are designed to support the development of large-scale CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure and may be integrated into future CCS projects and offshore developments. NOS Nova welcomes dialogue with industrial partners interested in exploring potential collaboration or technology licensing opportunities.
2025 Financial Highlights
NOS Nova Group reported income of NOK 8.2 million in 2025 reflecting primarily paid studies for the Gismarvik CO2 project and revenues from NOS Technology.
Operating loss reduced to NOK 46.0 million compared to 115.4 million in 2024, a result of reduced number of employees and focus on cost reducing activities.
Cash and equivalents at NOK 18.7 million compared to NOK 82.3 million in 2024.
NOS Nova is through its cash position and the acquisition of NOS Technology AS funded to conduct commercial operations and allocate resources to innovation projects if they are considered commercially viable.
