Veidekke: Building more for Fredensborg Bolig
Fredensborg Bolig has awarded Veidekke the contract to build infrastructure and 62 apartments in two residential buildings in the housing project Poulssons Kvarter at Fornebu in Bærum. The design-and-build contract is valued at approximately NOK 240 million, excluding VAT.
"We started developing the project together with Fredensborg Bolig in 2023 and have enjoyed a very good collaboration ever since. Construction of the first two phases, comprising 133 apartments and a shared underground parking facility, is well underway. We are grateful for the renewed confidence now shown in awarding us the construction of the final two residential buildings in the first part of this large-scale development," says Morten Barreth, Head of Department at Veidekke Bygg Oslo.
In addition to developing site infrastructure, Veidekke will now construct two six-storey residential buildings: Eng, with 41 apartments, and Collett, with 21 apartments. The 62 apartments range from two-room units of 34 square metres to four-room units of up to 111 square metres. Residents will benefit from several shared areas and facilities designed to enhance residential quality and foster a strong sense of community, including a dedicated car-sharing service for those who wish to use it. A shared underground parking facility (from the first construction phase) will be located beneath the two buildings.
"Progress on the project is in line with the plan, and the collaboration with Veidekke is good. It is therefore a pleasure to be able to start phase three as scheduled. With this construction phase, 195 out of a total of 400 homes in the Poulsson Kvarter project are now under construction," says Bjørn-Tore Rynning Olsen, CEO of Fredensborg Bolig.
Construction work has already commenced, with completion scheduled for autumn 2027.
