Veidekke: Arcona to rehabilitate commercial property in Stockholm
Arcona, a subsidiary of Veidekke, has entered into an agreement with Mengus for the rehabilitation, conversion and extension of a commercial property in Hammarby Sjöstad in Stockholm. The project comprises approximately 16,000 sqm GFA and will be carried out as a design and build contract in collaboration. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 293 million.
"The collaboration is characterised by openness and a strong understanding of our business model. Arcona has demonstrated solid expertise and execution capability in a complex project," says Björn Lindahl, Senior Partner at Mengus.
The project includes extensive upgrading of existing premises, as well as extensions and additional floors. The property will be adapted for both current and future tenants, and tenant fit-outs are also included in the contract.
"This is a technically demanding project requiring close collaboration. Together, we have established a strong collaborative organisation with a shared focus on execution and quality. Trikåfabriken will be an important addition to Hammarby Sjöstad," says business manager Andreas Asplinger of Arcona.
Leasing of the property is ongoing in parallel with the development. The common areas are scheduled for completion in early 2027.
The contract is included in Veidekke's order book for Q2 2026.
