Veidekke: To Rehabilitate Prime Property in Oslo
Allstad has entered into an agreement with Veidekke's subsidiary Seby AS to rehabilitate the eight-storey office building at Rådhusgata 1 in Oslo. The contract is a design and build contract valued at NOK 222 million, excluding VAT, plus options.
"We are currently completing works at Oslo Hospital for Allstad Eiendom, and we are therefore very pleased to continue our strong collaboration with them on a new and exciting rehabilitation project in central Oslo. Rådhusgata 1-3 also has its own unique history and character, which we will preserve and further develop into an attractive and upgraded property with high ambitions for quality, sustainability, and energy efficiency," says Bjørn Ove Liavaag, Managing Director of Seby AS.
Nearly 11,000 sqm of building space will be upgraded with new technical installations, rehabilitated façades, and flexible office areas across the upper seven floors as well as in the ground-floor commercial premises. The upper floors will be redeveloped with new vertical façades and rooftop terraces, while the building will be adapted to meet current standards and expectations. The project will be environmentally certified according to BREEAM In-Use
Excellent and achieve energy class A.
The contract includes an option for interior fit-out and tenant adaptations which, if exercised, will increase the total contract value to close to NOK 350 million excl. VAT. Construction is scheduled to commence after the summer holiday, with planned completion in autumn 2028.
The contract is included in Veidekke's order book for Q2 2026.
