Veidekke: To complete acquisition of asphalt company in Northern Norway

27. April 2026 kl. 13:09

Veidekke will complete the acquisition of the asphalt contractor Nord Vei og Asfalt AS in Troms County. The acquisition strengthens the position of Veidekke's asphalting operations in a region where activity levels are expected to remain strong in the coming years.

When the acquisition agreement was announced on 27 March 2026, it was subject to approval from the Norwegian Competition Authority. Approval has now been granted, and the transaction will be completed.

Nord Vei og Asfalt was established in 2022 and has 37 employees working in its asphalt crews and at the asphalt plant in Storsteinnes in Balsfjord municipality.

The company's revenue in 2025 amounted to NOK 236 million, with an operating profit of NOK 38 million. In 2024, revenue was NOK 98 million, with an operating profit of NOK 11 million.

Veidekke is acquiring 100% of the shares through a cash settlement. The agreed purchase price corresponds to a company value of approximately NOK 60 million on a debt-free basis. Veidekke is financing the cash consideration with existing liquid assets.
