Selvaag Bolig ASA: Q1 2026: Record-high sales in the first quarter

01. April 2026 kl. 07:00

Selvaag Bolig sold 358 homes with a total net value of NOK 2,516 million in the first quarter of 2026. This was the highest quarterly sales achieved in the company's history, measured both by number of homes sold and total net value, and represents more than twice the sales of the first quarter of 2025.

Gross sales, including 100 per cent of sales in joint ventures, amounted to 363 homes with a total value of NOK 2,563 million. Of this, 72 homes were booking agreements in Sweden, with a total value of NOK 684 million. "The record-high sales were driven by successful sales launches in Oslo, Ski, Bergen and Stockholm, combined with stable demand across the rest of the portfolio. In a market where total new home sales have been lower than last year, the development shows that we offer attractive projects in central locations. We are preparing several new sales launches going forward in our core areas, including Fornebu Sentrum in June," says CEO Sverre Molvik. During the quarter, construction of 166 homes was started, no new homes were completed, and 24 homes were delivered to buyers. Of the delivered homes, 16 were from consolidated project companies, while 8 represented Selvaag Bolig's share in joint venture.

"The strong sales has enabled us to increase the number of homes under construction, ensuring deliveries and results in the coming years. We now have a solid order backlog and a sound basis for further development in our priority markets," Molvik says. As of March 31, Selvaag Bolig had 1,078 homes under construction and 32 completed homes that have not yet been sold. In addition, the company had 11 completed homes that have been sold but not yet delivered. In the first quarter 2025, Selvaag Bolig sold 169 homes net worth NOK 1,038 million. Gross sales were 196 homes gross worth NOK 1,244 million. Units sold comprise sales contracts entered into with customers pursuant to the Norwegian Housing Construction Act and the Tenancy Act in Sweden, as well as booking agreements in Sweden. Booking agreements are used in the Swedish sale of new cooperative apartments (BRF), where the buyer pays a reservation fee to secure priority for an apartment. The booking agreement is non-binding, and if the buyer withdraws, part of the reservation fee will be refunded. The reservation is converted into a binding agreement before construction start.
