EQVA ASA - Restructuring of interest rate hedge
Oslo, 24.09.2026 - EQVA ASA ("EQVA" or the "Company") has entered into a restructured interest rate swap agreement with Nordea Bank Abp. The swap hedges part of the interest rate exposure under the Company's FRN Senior Secured bond.
The swap was previously held by EQVA Holding AS, a group company, and has been transferred to EQVA ASA, the issuer of the bond, by way of novation. Following the novation, the swap has been restructured. The hedge amount was increased from NOK 110.7 million to NOK 200 million, the maturity has changed from March 2030 to February 2028, and the interest periods have been aligned with the bond's interest payment dates.
The main terms of the restructured swap are: - Notional amount of NOK 200 million, non-amortising - Term from 22 September 2026 to 4 February 2028 - EQVA pays a fixed rate of 4.316% p.a. and receives 3-month NIBOR. Interest is settled quarterly on 4 February, 4 May and 4 November, with the first settlement on 4 November 2026.
The market value of the previous swap has been carried forward into the restructured swap.
"This transaction places our interest rate hedge in the same entity as the debt, increases the hedged amount and aligns it with the bond. It gives us predictable interest costs on a substantial part of our debt," says Daniel Hjertaker Molvik, CFO of EQVA.
