Ensurge Micropower apoints Salil Soman as Chief Commercial Officer to drive commercialization of Solid-State Microbattery Technology

San Jose, California / Oslo, 23.06.2026 — Ensurge Micropower ASA (OSE: ENSU) today announces the appointment of Salil Soman as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective 23 June 2026. Salil joins Ensurge’s executive team with a mandate to accelerate commercial adoption of the company’s solid-state lithium microbattery technology with a strategy to drive mass-market volume across the highest-value applications.

Salil brings more than 25 years of experience spanning advanced battery and energy storage technologies, system electrification, and clean-tech commercialization. His career includes executive leadership roles in business development, corporate strategy, product marketing, and engineering management at companies developing lithium-ion, solid-state, sodium-ion, and nickel-zinc battery technologies, as well as earlier engineering leadership positions supporting global automotive battery development and commercial vehicle programs.

As CCO, Salil will lead Ensurge’s commercial go-to-market strategy, with a focus on high-growth markets that maximize the company’s value proposition. His priorities will include accelerating commercial adoption of Ensurge’s solid-state microbattery technology by deepening customer relationships, expanding strategic partnerships, and converting industry engagements into long-term commercial programs.

In parallel, Salil will work closely with the executive team to broaden industry awareness of the opportunities for Ensurge's technology, while positioning the company for sustained growth across several high-value application areas, including hearables, wearables, medical devices, industrial systems, and defense.

Prior to joining Ensurge, Salil served as Vice President of Business Development at Feon Energy, where he led commercialization efforts for next-generation battery electrolytes serving e-mobility, energy storage, aerospace and defense, drones, and consumer electronics markets. Over the course of his career, he has helped commercialize multiple advanced battery technologies, established strategic partnerships worldwide with major OEMs, battery manufacturers, and materials suppliers, supported strategic fundraising initiatives, and built commercial pipelines spanning automotive, aviation, consumer electronics, data center, and stationary energy storage markets.

Salil holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Colorado.
