Changes to Tighten Focus and Reduce Monthly Operating Expenses by

Approximately 30% Post Restructuring Charges

Sandnes, Norway, 27 October 2026 - Desert Control (OSE: DSRT), a leader in soil and water conservation technology, announced today changes to its organization that further sharpen its focus on the Agricultural and Turf markets in the American Southwest and reduce its base operating expense level. As part of those changes, Desert Control will close its office in Stavanger, Norway. Further, as part of flattening the United States organization, Marty Weems, the Company's current Managing Director of United States will leave his position. Evan Hazlett, currently Senior Director of Product, will assume the title of Vice President of Product Delivery and take responsibility for Desert Control's production systems engineering and operations teams, ensuring smooth coordination between production capacity and customer application and James Thomas will assume direct supervision of the sales team. These and other changes are expected to reduce monthly expenditures by approximately 30% from current levels post restructuring charges.

"While we continue to see strong interest in Liquid Natural Clay from customers in the agricultural and turf industries since focusing our commercial activities in California, broad adoption of our product continues to be slower than expected. As a result, we are making changes to our organization to better align our activities with our near- and long-term outlooks," said James Thomas, Chief Executive Officer. "The decision to close the Norwegian office is made with a heavy heart. The Norwegian organization's contributions have been significant over the years, but with the office nine time zones from our primary markets, the barriers to crisp collaboration and execution are just too high. Further, we thank Marty for his many contributions to the growth of Desert Control US and wish him well in future endeavors. While these changes are substantial, Desert Control maintains 100% of its customer-facing and scientific capabilities and will benefit from a more focused and leaner team aligned with our customers' locations."

The Company will provide further information on these changes, customer development and other relevant matters at its upcoming investor call on November 19, 2026
