New production-optimized system demonstrates high-capacity performance in demanding field conditions in Somerton, Arizona

Sandnes, Norway, 13 July 2026 - Desert Control (OSE: DSRT), a leader in soil and water conservation technology, announces that its next-generation production unit has completed a Liquid Natural Clay (LNC) application across 12 acres of Medjool date palms in Somerton, Arizona. The project marks the first commercial -scale field deployment of the new system and a key validation of Desert Control's transition from prototype development to full commercial production.

The next-generation production unit is built on a new, production-optimized system configuration designed for manufacturability, improved efficiency, modularity, and a reduced footprint. Engineered for high-capacity output and deployment in demanding operational environments, the unit dramatically increases LNC application efficiency compared with earlier equipment. It serves as Desert Control's baseline configuration for future builds, enabling the company to scale its production fleet to meet growing demand from customers and licensees.

In Somerton, the unit performed to specification under field conditions that were hot, arid, and sandy c. The deployment provides an early, real-world demonstration of the system's throughput and reliability at commercial scale, a critical step as Desert Control expands delivery capability across the American Southwest.

LNC, a proprietary soil restoration technology, helps sandy, fast-draining soils retain water and nutrients more effectively, reducing irrigation demand and supporting healthier plant growth. In date cultivation, where trees grow in arid conditions on sandy desert soils, improved retention in the root zone can directly support tree health and long-term productivity while lowering water use, making Somerton a fitting environment to showcase the new unit's capabilities.

"Having our next-generation production unit in the field and performing at commercial scale are two of the most important milestones on our path to scaling Desert Control," said James Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Desert Control. "I remain encouraged by the quantity and quality of our piloting activity and believe this production unit's validation is well timed as we look forward to what we hope will be a busy season of commercial applications."

Additional next-generation units are planned to support wider commercial rollouts of LNC technology. The successful deployment marks a significant step in Desert Control's commercialization strategy, demonstrating the operational readiness and scalability needed to meet growing customer demand.
