5th Planet Games Targets Sker Ritual's Next Commercial Chapter with Extensive Halloween Promotions and a Holiday Physical Retail Launch in North America

As previously announced, 5th Planet Games in partnership with Skybound Entertainment, assumed publishing responsibilities for Wales Interactive's zombie game Sker Ritual earlier this year. In July 2026, the company released refreshed digital editions of the game across all storefronts, bundling existing content into clear, high-value offerings to lower the barrier to entry for new players and further monetize the existing content library. New activity now through the holiday season, will continue to build on the initial relaunch.
Sker Ritual is a part of several digital storefront sales this autumn. These include Steam Halloween promotions like Steam Scream V Fest, PlayStation's Planet of the Discounts sale, and Xbox's Shocktober Sale. Timed with these recent sales and to re-engage existing players, Wales Interactive also just released a new "Shrunken Head" cosmetic DLC available for free to all players.
Skybound and Wales Interactive also recently announced the Sker Ritual: Cursed Edition, a US- and Canada-exclusive physical PlayStation 5 edition, with pre-orders now open across retailers in both markets. Launching on December 3 at $29.99, it will reach US retailers including Amazon, Target and Best Buy before the holidays. The edition includes a physical PS5 game disc containing the base game and eight post-launch DLC packs, with unique masks, cosmetics, exclusive items and voice lines to customize the experience.

Separately, Wales Interactive announced Sker: The Bleeding Veil during the widely viewed IGN Fan Fest earlier this month. Co-developed by Stormind Games and Wales Interactive, the title is a new first-person, single-player story set in the Sker universe scheduled for release in 2027. Although outside Skybound and 5th Planet Games' publishing remit, Sker: The Bleeding Veil is just one of many Wales Interactive projects that continue to expand this successful franchise.
